My name is Jessica Valencia. I’m a wife and a mother. I have been married to my husband now for a little over 24 years, and we have 5 children together. I first began my early childhood journey about 20 years ago as a caregiver to my own siblings. It was at that time that I discovered a passion and love for teaching and caring for others. I am passionate about the work I do with children and are very intentional about the experiences and opportunities I am able to provide on a daily.
I graduated COD with my AA Degree in Early childhood Education, and I am currently on the path to higher education to earn a Bachelors degree in the same field. I strive everyday to learn everything I can to to provide the best care and early childhood education possible for my little learners. This is an ever changing field where you learn new things everyday, so staying up to date with current policies, requirements and new research is a must, here at Lil' Ones Child Care.
As an early childhood educator my goal is to equip children with the skills needed for success in this 21st century world. We do so by fostering a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, open communication, collaboration, social emotional regulation and a community based environment full of learning possibilities.
